hungry? here's recipe #2..just for YOU
This was my lunch today and it was BANGIN'!
need: 1 slice roggebrood (dark rye bread), camembert, mushrooms, courgette, spring onion, cumin and black pepper.
do: Lightly fry about three generous slices of courgette with some olive oil, salt and cumin seeds, whilst this is slowly cooking cut a few thin slices of camembert and place them onto a slice of roggebrood. Now chop up one or two (depending on size) mushrooms and chuck them in the pan along with the courgettes. Chop up your spring onion and sprinkle it over the camembert.. Once the courgettes and mushrooms are ready take off heat and place on top of camembert, making a yummy pile! Add some black pepper and enjoy!
It's especially nice when the camembert starts melting a little.. mmm

for all you lovers out there.
So. I get a call from Nina this evening, and even though its been a while since the two of us have spoken things seem exactly the same as back in the day when we used to lie under the maths desks, against Agassis will, and eat mozerella cheese. Obviously finding all of this hysterically funny. Like we find most things. Things like the image you see above. So Nina tells me she knows this girl that made her life hell in school, And do i want to see a pic of her? Of corse i did. And of corse upon recieving that lifeless photo with the very yellow, very 'microsoft paint' "vogue" (this all said with good intentions of corse. some people just think differently), i fell to my already bruised knees and DIED. Thank you Nina, for making my day...for laughing with me in Holland.

Well being prototypes
This morning we presented our prototypes of our kites for well being. In 2 weeks we'll have to have the final kites made, life size and we'll test them out and see if they fly! This is mine on the right, it's supposed to serve as a looking glass. Something to focus on the clouds. The frame will be made out of wood. I'm still researching on a material for the 'windows' but obviously something transparent. I'll bring embroidery into it. Soft colours. It will only be visible up close. Ill also do some binding with the yarn i use for the embroidery and am thinking of adding tails or hanging strings at differnt lengths to add a lyrical effect...but right now it's all still pretty much up in the air.
This is Barbara's. It's a replica of herself.. a twin.
Hatla used her pancho. Colour inspiration came from a map of Eindhoven and you have the option of also turning this into a map by attatching blue, white or green strips (roads and rivers) to the pancho with velcro.
This is Mariekes..her inspiration was the protea.. The side flaps (leaves) move according to the wind..Peter used triangles.. this one flys nicely!

Well being
On Tuesday we switched from communications, which we did for 4 weeks to well being.. which we'll be doing for the coming 4 weeks. This semester we'll be working with colours. Creating our own colour palate and using colour correctly with form. We have been asked to design a kite. Something that relates to and identifies us. Here is the brief..take a look..
